About the Club

Originally Chartered: 1998
The original Pilot Club of Abaco was chartered in April 1998 under the sponsorship of the Pilot Club of Nassau, marking the beginning of Pilot service on the island of Abaco. In 2001, the Pilot Club of South Abaco was established through the sponsorship of the Pilot Club of Abaco, further expanding Pilot International’s commitment to service within the community. As membership evolved, the former Pilot Club of Abaco merged with the remaining members of the Pilot Club of South Abaco in 2010, forming the Rainbow Pilot Club of Abaco. The following year, in 2011, the club officially adopted its current name, the Pilot Club of Abaco, reflecting a unified vision and continued dedication to serving the people of Abaco.

Throughout its history, the Pilot Club of Abaco has proudly led and supported numerous signature projects and community initiatives. These include The Emerald Ball, partnerships with Sun Oil’s Back-to-School Program and Evergreen’s Thanksgiving Dinner, Dash n Dine, participation in FCIBC’s Walk for the Cure, Kirk of the Pines’ Hot Breakfast, BrainMinders, Pick Me Ups, Anchor Clubs, and a wide range of ongoing community outreach activities that continue to make a meaningful impact across the island.Today, the Pilot Club of Abaco proudly sponsors three Anchor Clubs, helping to develop the next generation of leaders through service.
