This Club has a long history of outstanding leadership and achievement and I am indeed humbled to have been given the opportunity to build on this legacy. I am forever grateful to my sponsor, Past Governor Katrina Cartwright for inviting me to be a part of this great organization and, for her continued words of guidance and encouragement. I am always admirable of the passion and commitment of our members to the club and I look forward to the continued partnership and support for this upcoming year as we reconnect with “friendship and service,” steering a “true course ever.” Immediate Past President Tiffany has been a source of inspiration to me and I am truly blessed to have worked with her this past year.

The events taking place in the global and local economies over the past few years have had impact on many service organizations including Pilots. Economists are predicting that we are now at the turning point of this recessionary period! The anticipated changes expected to take place in the global and local economies over the next year dictates that we align our goals and objectives to the areas that will ensure a successful and productive year. I have identified a few areas that we will address during my term as President:

-Membership: Networking; restoring membership levels
-Increase visibility of the Pilots in the Community (Radio, TV and
 Periodicals
-Partner with other service organizations and support groups to
 promote awareness of Brain related disorders (eg. Alzheimer's
 disease; Depression and Learning disorders
-Continue the efforts of the "Pool" project - fundraising and
 construction of the Therapeautic Pool Facility for persons with
 physical disabilities
-Increase community service activities - providing greater opportunities for all to serve

We all have a unique ability, a special talent or just a willing heart; In bringing them all together we can make a positive difference in our community and achieve so much.
