Happy New Year Pilots,

I would like to thank Pilots my DAC, Presidents and all Pilot Members for their support during
the past months. As we are now beginning a new year our focus will now be the planning of
our District Convention which will be held in Freeport on May 18th – 20th 2012.

Club Presidents’ are reminded to inform their Members at their Februarys’ monthly meeting
to reserve the date and plan to attend the convention. We would like suggestions from all Clubs
regarding the format and seminars they would like for the DAC to consider during the planning
stages for the Convention.

Pilot’s, are District is below strength and my focus for the remaining months of this Pilot
year is to improve MEMBERSHIP within the District. I am appealing to all Club Presidents,
Membership Coordinators to start making plans to host Share Pilots activities. If each Pilot
invite a friend and keep promoting the work we do as Pilots we can achieve our goal by
increasing Membership in the District by five percent.

Our Membership strength is declining within the District and we are not alone. Service
organizations here at home abroad are experiencing declining membership. This can all be due
to our economic situation world wide and our Country is no exception.

As each Club President make plans to increase membership this year identify the strengths
and weakness in your club and focus on areas that you feel needs improving to attracting new
members this year.

My incentive this year is to establish a GOVERNOR’S MEMBERHSIP ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. This
award will be given to the Club who increase their membership by five percent for this Pilot
year.

Pilots, do not loose sight of our goals this year let us achieve them. David Thoreau states “Do
not lose hold of your dreams and aspirations for if you do, you may still exist but you have
ceased to live.”

Looking forward to a successful Pilot year 2012.
